Question: What Makes Betties Betties?

Answer:

Bettie’s Cakes is not your typical Bakery. We have the only double decker cupcake stand in the world, a retired school bus we use as a delivery vehicle and we have a full time cupcake mascot on the payroll. We started our little business at the worst of the recession when we needed a distraction from all of the bad news in the world, it was bumming us out. So we bought the bus, opened the cupcakery and met up with some of the most talented local bakers and decorators to start our dream.

Our mission was simple, “Have Fun and Make People Happy.” To do that we only use only natural ingredients so that our cupcakes are delicious. We do our best to stay fresh in ideas by using our customers advice on new flavors and our bakers skills to make them taste great. We partner with local organizations that are doing good so that when you buy a cupcake you are able to support great people.So we are in this for a good time and to help a few people along the way. Our customers are super sweet because they get what we are trying to do. So please, slow down, relax, smile and enjoy a Bettie’s Cupcake.

Question: Bettie, what are your thoughts on Birthdays?

Answer:

Your wife is already upset that she is getting another year older and she is looking to you to make her birthday special. After all she did for you last year the bar has been set high for you to do everything right for her on her special day. So you are at the grocery store and you are buying all of the best and finest ingredients so that you can make her an amazing dinner and you pass by the bakery section and see a ¼ sheet cake and a lady behind the counter ready to fill in your wife’s name under the HAPPY BIRTHDAY that was already placed on the cake. Your thinking, well isn’t this convenient. Be careful, your wife loves Bettie’s Cakes. All of her friends had Bettie’s Cakes for their birthdays. Their husbands listen to them. Don’t mess around. She is amazing! Get her the best!!! Call me!!!

Question: Hey Bettie, What are some of the your favorite memories in the cupcake business?

Answer:

That is the best question ever. I have had so much fun remembering all of the days surrounded by cupcakes and the people who love them. I loved inventing all of our original flavors and I remember the first time we tasted our winning ice cream recipe. I think my favorite thing is doing deliveries of our treats. Showing up to a doorstep of an unsuspecting recipient or going to a hospital with a bunch of our goodies for a fun get well gift from an out of town relative. So, I guess I like the fact that Bettie’s Cakes is naturally called when someone who cares wants to let someone know they care. It’s a great position to be in.

Question: Bettie, What’s the story with A, B and C Cupcakes?

Answer:

Those are our sizes. Other companies typically call them mini, regular and jumbo. We like our way better.

Question: Bettie, everyone knows you make the best cupcakes in the world, but what about your cakes?

Answer:

That’s a great question. We actually started as a cake store, hence the name Bettie’s Cakes. Over time we were able to offer individual size cakes in order to help people in need of cake but did not want to commit to a full cake. WE are mistakenly called Bettie’s cupcakes once in awhile because our delicious cupcakes have gained such positive recognition. Cakes, remain our passion and like diamonds, the bigger the better. Check out our online store for descriptions of our cakes. If you have a better idea for a cake just tell us, we would love to make it.

Question: Bettie, what’s the story with the Cookie Sandwich Cake?

Answer:

That one came to me in a dream. I usually dream about cakes with an excellent recurring dream of red velvet. Usually the red velvet cake is on a blind date with a new Bettie’s Creation and then by the end of the dream RV tells me if I should introduce the new cupcake to the store or not. Wait, I got side tracked. This dream was different. It started with me walking through a field with millions of happy people cheering and smiling. I navigated my way through the endless sea of people to find myself by a stage with a huge sign saying “Bettie’s Cakes is #1” and under the sign I saw the enormous deliciousness that is now called the Cookie Cake Sandwich. It is a lot of dessert and it has never been done before. It is a true dream come true.

Question: Bettie, why do you always seem so happy?

Answer:

I make Cupcakes and Cakes and Ice Cream and my treats get invited to happy occasions like weddings, birthdays, showers of all kinds, and just because days. It’s amazing.

Question: Bettie, do you really like make cupcake ice cream?

Answer:

We really do! When I was growing up there was a small, progressive company owned by 2 guys in Vermont that I loved. They not only made great ice cream but they did great things! Their ice cream had big chunks and a lot of them. Well sadly, that company sold out to a huge multinational soap company. So I figured the world needs another “small, do great things, make a great product” kinda company and that’s what I want to be. So, it was only natural to use our great cupcakes to make a greater ice cream. Yup it’s true, we make cupcakes cooler!

Question: What is your favorite Bettie’s Cakes Ice Cream Sundae?

Answer:

I am a big fan of Marilyn so my loyalty to her makes me want to pick the Marilyn. However, I also a big fan of diamonds, sooooo you should try Breakfast at Tiffany’s. It has French toast sticks and is covered with real maple syrup. This is a really tough question. Try them all and tell me which one you like the best.

Question: I want to raise money for my organization. Can Bettie help?

Answer:

You Bet!! We love helping people do good things. We can either team up with us for a bake sale or simply resell our cupcakes to make money at your event. For a greater fundraiser, we can help your people pre sell our delicious goodies, and deliver them to a predetermined place. That’s a great idea to raise money!

Question: I want to have a Double Decker Cupcake Stand at my next event. Can you help me?

Answer:

WE are the ONLY place that can help you with that check off your bucket list. If it is a big event then we appreciate the invitation and we would love to be there. If it is a small birthday or wedding gathering then we would still love to come. We just would need a bus rental fee of $100 dollars per hour. Unforgettable, that’s what we are!

Question: Bettie, my child is in school and has not called me in weeks. I want to let them know I love them but I also want to embarrass them. Can you help?

Answer:

Absolutely! If your child goes a stray, we are here to help. A singing Cupcake or signing Bettie Delivery will allow you to send a gift to your child but will also embarrass them effectively enough that you are sure to get a call immediately. You will be able to use it as leverage to avoid future lapses in your child’s judgement.
